I'm looking to get Link soon(ish) and I was on their website looking for operating system requirements. What would be the best laptop/tablet I could use for the program? I know a lot about cars, but I suck when it comes to computers and software. I wouldn't mind a compatible tablet, since I think it'd be simpler for keeping in the car always. I did see what ECM Link requires for tablets, but searching for one that lists processor type hasn't been great. Any help is welcomed.

I run an older laptop computer on Windows 7 as my dedicated tuning computer. Used it was $100.

I got this from Amazon a few years back for $60 with windows 10

It’s nice once the car is tuned but to actually tune with it is kind of a pain. I use it more to monitor/log.

6-7 years ago I was running a cheap Acer tablet with Windows 7 and 10 for AEMTuner and ECMLink. It worked good so far but I decided to go with a CAN Bus display/laptop so I removed it.

When tuning I found it easiest & prefer using a full size laptop with larger screens. Once the tune is finished, smaller mini-laptops or tablets work fine for monitoring the different sensors (parameters) & what not. A good tune should not need changing if you have not made any mechanical (part) changes that would effect the motor VE.

Agree. That's the reason why I went back with a laptop.
