On the way to my friends house to part out my eclipse, I did several launches. When we got to my friends house, The rear wheels were smoking!

I pull low 1.6 60 fts with bald tires because im too cheap to buy new ones.. i do this while spinning all the way to 8K... When i get into 2nd i bog ...

Best launch I had was lighting a Mortar fuse on the 4th, and seeing a cop roll up right as it's about to ignite. Fireworks = illegal here.

Needless to say they enjoyed the show, then cut up anything else I had.

Oh, in my car, I'm not really sure how you guys dump without breaking stuff. I have to slip the clutch and I'm surprised I don't break anything. Maybe that's why I go through clutches 3 times faster than brake pads.

Funniest thing that happened to me was the windshield wiper bolt coming off, the wiper bending back to my driver's door and almost coming off totally. But that wasn't from a launch, just going too fast (140+). Bad me.

Event: SWSpeed's super street car series and i'm a semi-finalist going up against a procharged stang

Good VHT on the track (for once).

I was on an evo3 16G with a 3 puck unsprung on a 2600 plate.

For once i decided to throw caution into the wind and leave the hole off the rev limiter as i have no studder box.

Well, I make 18psi of bewst slappin it off the rev limiter and i just dump.

Tires rip and i'm leaving the hole diagonally with the car pointed at the 60' cones.

The car starts hopping so the windshield wipers comes on and my glove box opens and the Emanage, registration, and insurance go flying into the passenger seat. The radio also comes loose from its makeshift install kit and hits my hand on the shift knob causing me to miss second. I still managed to run a 12.66, just a few hundreths shy of outrunning him and he outtree'd me by another few hundreds. Lost by 4 hundreds but oh well, thats racing.

I go to pick up my time slip and i notice my fresh/recirc knob had popped out and was no where to be found.

Look at the slip and i got a 1.57 60' foot.

I wouldn't recommend launching off the rev limiter but gawddamn thats fun

just bought my car bone stock. pulled up to a camaro ss heavily modded at a stop light and jumped him a car length from a stop. then he pulled me as i was going out of 2nd gear.

I gunned it from a stop sign while trying to turn at the same time. I ended up going into someones yard at a 45 degree angle for about 5 seconds until I could get the car back on the road.
For some reason, the guy who was riding with me wasn't impressed with my driving skills.

last week i launched so hard, that i sat and went no where. yea its time for a new clutch

Not to long ago I was runnign another 1g DSM. I tached it up to 6500 on the 2-step and dumped the clutch. Boost was at 14psi coming out and the tires spun for maybe 3-4 seconds and the car took off, after the run I started hearing this noise. So I imediately pull over and look under the car. All I could see was fluid all over the place, so I babied it home. Took it home, jacked it up, blown t-case and a hole in the tranny.

Test drove a 3000GT VR4 with a friend yesterday (he's looking for one, he drove it first). It launched a lot harder than my AWD Subaru wagon . . . until you tried to shift into second, at which point it made some pretty gnarly grinding noises. I don't think he'll be buying that one, .

ya, those VR4's are wicked with their pucked clutches. Gotta be careful, easy to break shit on those cars. My buddy's got a 92 VR4 and it's quick, but I'm still faster.

4500 drop, 2nd gear(3200lb clutch, copper 6puck, big 16g, supporting mods) front tires roasted, back tires chirped, left burnout marks across an entire interesection (blvd type, so long distance) was doing a good 55-60mph before I hit the other side. The windsheild wipers turned on and my seat clicked backwards a few clicks.

First day launching with dsmlink studderbox.. Build 10lbs off the line.. Launch, head goes flying back, radio comes out and smashes my hand, i miss 2nd and I sit there and laugh.

TheVery first launch I tried with my Laser took it to about 5-6 grand ( Sorry I didn't look at the tac, just wooded it!) I had it for about 5 min.It riped the upper radiator hose off and broke the upper tank. Dave
