hard piping with side mount or Punishment Racing front mount

I've got a small 16g, chipped eprom, walbro 255, and a 2g ported exhaust manifold so far

my next step is to run e85 and buy some 1000cc injectors and max out that 16g but before i do that i want to purchase all of the supporting mods so i can do this right

which brings up the question do i need a front mount or is a side mount with hard pipping more then sufficient enough?

I mean, he can throw 1000cc injectors on there but it's pointless unless he's going to get a much bigger turbo. Just trying to be more cost effective.

Oh, and VR speed makes a great FMIC kit thats pretty cheap... if you can ever find them in stock.

Considering he says he wants the 1000cc injectors for ethanol which requires 40ish % more fuel flow than gasoline for stoich, they still arn't excesively large.

Running ethanol, 1000cc injectors are barely large enough for a 20g.

1000s are idea for my set up epecially since i have a 255, eprom and a 16g


I didn't know that about how the small 16g works better with the newer technology thats pretty cool

Personally you know which way I think you should go to save money. Your FMIC kit is sitting in my garage

So you need an intercooler that works well with a typical e3 16g setup

I should have gottten my fmic long time ago i love the way it looks and was easier to install than i thought still costed me less than the entire kit shipped. When i got the parts for it cheap pipes and decent couplers, love the set up. True short route?

IDK exactly how hot arizona gets in summer but just a few weeks ago we hit about 98 degrees down here in cali. I was watching my temp gauge the whole time and not a single time I had any overheating issues with the VR SPEED FMIC

In 2Gs is so much longer than the VRS, but in 1Gs in not sure.

We had about 25 110+ days this year. The temperature 1 foot off the road surface is usually around 130*.

The 1g punishment kits have the core with the inlets facing the back of the core, around the radiator, very short route.

Supra sidemount should be plenty, especially if you're running E85. And its cheap so you can spend the extra money you would have spent on a fmic kit(~$150vs$400) on something else you may need or want.

i say get HUGE injectors and dial them back.

it sucks running out of injector just to buy bigger ones that idle just as good...its like. why did i ever buy smaller ones?

I love my install short roue for sure i use the gm maft setup, it involves 2 pipes a j pipe and a custom elbow i modified from my previous dejon set up, the piping was the easiest and cheapest of the setup, 400 dollars for the pr kit was too much for me, but for myset up it had to be custom.

you will need a front mount for sure, and 1000 cc injectors are much to big for a small 16g. I have 780's that are only running at about 80% on a big 16g at 25 psi.

What kind of power or airflow are you seeing at 25psi? That's the true indicator of where you are at with your IDC's.

no offense but on e85 and 20lbs with a small 16g i could easily still use my stock side mount
i could even upgrade to a supra side mount or go crazy and get the dejon big side mount which is capable of 30lbs+
don't be ignorant and say i NEED a frount mount just because they look cool and you want to get your posts up
