One of my halo bulbs went out on my talon. I was wondering if anyone knew the part number to it. It is a Sonar headlight assembly SK3302-ECPS. Or does anyone know how to better approach the headlight mounting screw in the back next to the radiator?

Just to confirm so that we all know what you're asking. You have aftermarket headlights (Sonar brand) which include halo rings around I'm guessing the low beam, and one of the halos has gone out?

I've personally never heard of that brand so I can't offer specific advice, but in my experience with other brands, the halo "bulb" is usually an LED or some other non-replaceable source. They're all cheap and it shows, and when they go out your only option is to buy another set or put the original headlights back in. The set that were installed on my GSX when I bought it went straight into the trash and the OE set that I subsequently installed were a huge upgrade in terms of optics.

That bottom bolt. What a stupid idea, Mitsubishi. I was unable to (READ: didn't have the patience to) get that bottom bolt out to remove the headlights, so I used a pry bar to break that tab off of the housings completely. With the headlights out of the way I could remove the bolt, and when I installed the new headlights I just didn't put the bolt back. Although now that I look at your second picture more closely it looks like that advice doesn't apply because I don't recognize that rear facing bolt. Maybe it's different on the 2gb Eclipse lights? If you remove the fender liner, can you get to it through the wheel well?

Bumper needs to come off in order to properly remove the headlights without breaking anything.

I never reinstalled the lower bolt on my 2g headlights. This way you can remove the headlight without having to remove the bumper.

Spyder auto aftermarket headlights have Sonar imprinted on the lens. Its the brand of the lens and not the headlight assembly. Those halo ring lights are cheap incandescent lights and just about impossible to get to let alone see. If you want to replace them you will have to pull the headlight off the car.

Or leave them be like I did, I only bought them for the projector lens to use with Hiss

Although I just bought a brand new OEM set of blacked out eclipse lenses they look way sharper and only $80
