Man! When I lived in Grants Pass it rained all the time and the summer was over if you blinked. You seem to have lots of sunny days though. Lucky :)

I like your build. Super cool car so far!

After you switched to the tube front end, did you ever get a chance to weigh the parts you eliminated?

Decided it was time to install the hood latches. I started by masking a centerline. Then traced the pattern provided with the latches.

I used the talons coolant overflow bottle and built a bracket to attach to the galant.

Had an injector O ring leaking pretty bad when cranking the engine over. Replaced all the injector seals.
Found that the fuel supply line going to the fuel filter was bottoming out on the threads causing a major leak. Took one thread off the end. tested again with no leaks.
also found i wasn't getting power to half of the MPI relay. tested power going in and out. found the BR wire coming from the fuseable link #8 had no power. traced and found a bad fuse at the engine fuse panel.
Now that all the issues (for now) are fixed i am able to connect to Dsmlink. the car starts and runs great!!
I just need to wire the cooling fan relay and weld the 3" exhaust up.

looks amazing! Seeing this galant definitely makes me want one, perhaps one day.

If it was strictly my dd street car I totaly would. I would do some crazy wheels as well. But if I'm going to be tracking this beotch. It will need to have clearance for the hoosiers for the other wheels haha.

oh man I see deep dish meshies written all over that car!! to bad cant have both worlds. But I'm love'n the build, your definitely an inspiration to me. My builds moving extremely slow and its mighty depressing....dam body work/winter.

I here you on the body work deal. That's the next major project. I have hope of it being painted black in 6 months but I'm not sure my customers projects would like that. So it may not be till next summer:(

Like most stuff, in due time it gets done. I'm hoping I'll get un-lazy and tarp the entrance to my carport, crack out the portable heater and get moving on the body work. Was wanting it done before winter but that's far to late now! hahaha
Good job on the intake man looking sharp!

This rebuild and parts fabrication is awesome. I love these cars and it is nice to see guys resurrecting ones that originally appear to be fubar. I like your work and enjoy seeing the end result. Goodluck with the GVR4!

Glad to see one of my old GVR4's being taken care of!! Not sure how it ended up looking like it did in the first picture. I was just thinking about that car the other day. It ran like a champ for a stock motor 16g @ 10psi :) Loving that you're still rocking the HKS air can for now too! Keep up the good work, looks like you've extended the life of that one for quite some time to come.

Yeah I think someone was starting to part it out when I told them I wanted the whole car haha. But I'm glad I could save this thing. It's been fun seeing the look on some people when I pull away from them at the track. I have hopes of 20ish psi on the hx35 within the year. Well See how the car responds to that haha.

I love the way this car looks. Good job with bringing another GVR4 back!!! I miss my old one now in the market for another LOL. Good luck with the HX35! Should be awesome.
