Gucci shifter boot

how do you get the base of the boot connected?

i just took apart a spare boot, used it as a pattern and made the crown boot. once i had that i took the crown bag and slid it over the stock one for more support. Then i put the stock ring back in the top so it was just covering it. After that i just bolted it up like normal, only the crown bag was pinched to the plastic and not fastened down anywhere.

pretty simple really.

I love the Crown Royal shifter boot, I hope to get a new Shifter boot made soon, but I doubt that I will do anything that extravagant...

i like the crown royal boot. to bad its not black with gold lettering or purple lettering. i have been doing leather seat upholstery for a few years now and this is the boots i make in my free time out of oem evo 8/9 leather.

Support ????. I used the stock as a template to have the OEM fit and 99% stock stylings. I have had a few people comment on and they all really love the boots I make.

Its kind of hard to tell, but if you look at these photos of a car we built at my work, if you look at the arm rests they are actually black leather that is stamped to have a carbonfiber look to it. Wish I had better pictures

Both the gucci and crown royal shift boots are "BALLLLIN". But I thing nothing looks better then a leather grey or black. You should make a shift boot out ot burberry print. That will probably go good with TAN interior.

I still make the boots but its only if Im asked for one thow. They take me 10 min or so a peace from start to finish. Im trying to get other OEM materials to use but Im having a hard time finding the perfect materials Im looking for. The EVO 8/9 leather was like a gift from god and about 50 yards of it made it a deal and a half.

I tryed making a shift boot out many different materials. The leather looks and feels by far the best. Plus it makes the shifter feel a little stiffer to reduce the play that alot of DSM's have because the plastic bushings in the shifter have wore out. I just got a bunch of OEM 2g DSM grayish colored leather for stock replacement boots that have the origional color. I found some heavy carbon but Im affraid of getting or causing people to get carbon slivers. I know that fiberglass slivers are a PITA and get annoying after 2 days of they still beeing there under your skin.

Love the crown royal bag that awesome original....... I was thinking of doing the same thing before i read this thread and still may think im going to try and find a like tan material that matches my interior plus i have to try and redo my sunvisors they split on me after a long summer sit and motor rebuild but oh well such is life

My cousin made me one out of chainmial, wish I still had it. It looked awesome but made to much noise. It was just some of what he had leftover after a class project.

the Gucci looked kinda like a hotel curtain at first glance. nice work though, i really like the evo leather boots as well.
