Gucci shifter boot

Well, I got bored last night and had some left over material from a project..

So my shifter boot was looking a little ugly. So I decieded to make a new one..Was pretty easy.. carefully cut the thread out of the old boot.. lay it out and trace it and cut new material. Here is the out come..

Took me about 3 hours for the first one.

Thats pretty sweet but doesn't look luxurious at all in our 1g's haha.

It's vinyl.. I had it on my stunt bike*same stuff* and it cleans up really easily and nice! plus It's not a work truck I don't plan on bringing a bucket of mud in.

How did you get the plug on the top of the boot to stay on? (the plastic piece that slides down the shifter)

HAHA My ex would love this in her 94 Eclipse. I did her a Wet Pink Powdercoated Valve Cover and was gonna do her Pink LED Gauge Lights, Pitched her the idea of some kinda Designer fabric on the headliner or side panels.

Not really close with her. I still like her and she moved on so it causes issues so I just avoid her now.

yeah, its not to bad for the 5 bucks i spent on the spare shift boot at a junk yard. I have the stock material underneath it so it's a little bit thicker than i like....makes my gauges harder to see but its still better than stock.

I went to st Vincent's and bought a used black leather jacket in good condition for twenty bucks. I stitched up a new black leather boot using the old one as a pattern. Came out awesome. Unfortunately I can't post a pic as my only Internet connection is thru my iPhone. I can post it in my photobucket account if anyone is interested

It's not hard. Sew a copy of the stock boot. Glue it in.
