so basically i'm buying a stock 95' GST from my buddy and i'm not going to lie, i don't know too much about what these engines can handle with what turbos and the psi or anything but thats why i'm posting this thread.

after i pay him off i'd like to drop some stuff into the engine. it is 100% stock besides the BOV.
it will be used as a daily driven car.

i'm currently looking into a gt35r or something similar in size. could go a little smaller but it doesnt matter

any tips on what i should add in what order? (fmic, bigger turbo, intake, etc.)

thank you :)

I am sorry I do have to say myself WTF, gt35r. I see its also your first post on dsmtuners. Its just pretty frickin funny.

I have the stock 14b on my 1g and thats plenty of power (at least for me as a daily driver), when tuned.

I am pretty sure that the stock t-25 is almost maxed out in the 2g, you can go the mitsu flange route and get a 14b, 16g, or t-28.

Since you were talking about the gt35r, I am assuming you know it has a different flange, and you would need a new manifold.

thanks bro

any idea on is the 8 blade or 7 blade is better?

READ the first post of Holset Turbo, PART 7 forum!!

The 7 blade flows 60lb/min vs. the 8 blade which flows 52lb/min. More flow means it's capable of more HP/TQ. On average a 1lb/min can generated 10.5 hp on DSMs when you have the supporting mods and pro tuning. However, more flow more or less likely means slower spooling.

Just read the first intro post about all the Holset that have been tested on DSM for a more definite answer to which is better. Some people like the 7 blade because of the power and some people like the 8 blade because of the spool factor.

thanks bro. i already read that earlier but i like hearing out people's opinions because if u read in there someone states that they flowed over 60lb/min or something like that on the 8-blade.

It's in a whole different category. That's the HX40 8 blade 58mm inducer not the HX35 8 blade 56mm inducer. Best to director all questions related to Holset turbos on that forum to get answers.
