My old setup was a bust and sold everything in my last thread.

This is my new setup in the mail now:

Fuel:
1000cc injectors
Walbro 255
(for now stock lines)

Turbo:
GT35r w/ custom downpipe

Exhaust:
Dark Performance manifold with Tial 38mm WG recirculated
Apexi 3'' Exhaust

Intake:
FP 4'' intake
1g intake manifold

Tuning:
DSMLINK V2

Misc.
SSAC 2.5' FMIC
Tial BOV
boost/trans temp/oil temp gauges
Hallman MBC
Apexi TT

This is all on a freshly rebuilt stock 6bolt motor for now. I plan on upgrading internals soon. Stock rebuilt automatic trans as well.

UPDATE***

I have installed the FIC 1050's, walbro 255 and my Fuelab FPR and just finished mounting up my Dark Performance t4 mani/ GT35r w/ tial 38mm. I had to cut the exhaust to mate up with the custom downpipe to weld the vband flange on. Everything mounted up good except my wastegate hitting the power steering line so I am going to have to fab up a new fitting/line to make it fit since this will be driven as a street car and I like power steering ;) Here are some pics

How were your flanges on the manifold? I got one of those "dark performance" things. What a piece of sh!t. It better last this season atleast. Did you put a straight edge on them before mounting them?

On pump gas the wabro 255/supra pump would be enough re-wired...but if you want to get over 450 WHP safely..then Bosch 044, with -6 lines would be enough for it.

I think ill grab a 1g radiator from a local yard and use that once I put my slim fans on it.

That would require quite a bit of work. To allow the 1G radiator to fit in a 2G, the lower mounting points need to be modified. The 1G had the similar style of mount, but it was about 1" off to the side on each side. So they will not be interchangeable without as little bit of work. And if you use an OE radiator with plastic tanks, you'll only be able to modify the car's side of the mount, and that is much more work. As apposed to running an aluminum 1G radiator and cutting/grinding off the lower mounting pegs. Then grabbing 2.5" of .25" aluminum round stock and welding two new pins in the 2G location.

Where can that be purchased from?
Check your PM's.

Paul could you pm me with the details on that radiator hose you fabbed up. If its too much work for the 1g then Ill just go with this for now and if I wish to later Ill switch. Thanks

Ill be able to let you know in a couple days once I get all my random parts to my house and put on. Should be interesting.........

Good luck man - I'll be looking forward to how it goes. Our parts list is similar. I'm doing an HTA 35R (if it ever comes) on an FFWD 2.3.

So is your issue with the wastegate and power steering due to the manifold you are running? I will be running the FP mani and hope I don't have any issues.

Thanks and good luck!

yes, the issue I am having with the power steering is directly related to the manifold I am using and the wastegate mount. The FP race manifold will give you plenty of clearance. I kinda wish I would of went that route now, would of saved me the power steering headache and the wallet ache as well....LOL

Oh ok - well that relives a little stress in my mind, but at least you got it taken care of!

Thanks man.

Well I got my power steering issue fixed and I believe I have figured out the coolant line issues as well. I also got the downpipe welded on and everything fits great as well.

I just got done mounting the FMIC last night and it looks great. Now just waiting on ecu/dsmlink and fans. The goal is to have it running good enough to drive for memorial weekend!

Congrats! We need update pics!

I will post pics as soon as I can. I just need to upload them. I just sent my eprom out today, overnigted it to ECMtuning and hopefully that wont take long for them to do their business with it.
Got my Forge bov yesterday too, looks like a nice piece. By chance, what are the psi ratings on the spring colors they send, anyone?

The downpipe was custom made and it came with the turbo and wastegate as a combo deal. Ill just say I got a great deal on the turbo/WG/downpipe and all vbands!!!!

***Update

Well I have the GST running now. I got it running saturday and it has some little issues but overall for my first semi-build it went well. The car has some trouble firing up sometimes and since my laptop isnt working with my dsmlink I was unable to log or anything this weekend. It runs and drives good but since I cant log or tune I just have the boost at 12psi so basically I cant even tell I got the big snail on there. Even at 12psi partial wot the CEL comes on indicating knock so Ill leave it alone till I get my laptop working with link.

I have some little issues like boost leaks, rough start and tuning to work out before I can give any real good stories about how hard the car pulls.

My Dell Inspirion isnt working with dsmlink. I had to get an adapter to use the USB port and it throws a code..."timed out" I believe I have to switch COMM PORTS but I try and I only have one to chose from. Any ideas........COMM Port 3 is my only option.
