My old setup was a bust and sold everything in my last thread.

This is my new setup in the mail now:

Fuel:
1000cc injectors
Walbro 255
(for now stock lines)

Turbo:
GT35r w/ custom downpipe

Exhaust:
Dark Performance manifold with Tial 38mm WG recirculated
Apexi 3'' Exhaust

Intake:
FP 4'' intake
1g intake manifold

Tuning:
DSMLINK V2

Misc.
SSAC 2.5' FMIC
Tial BOV
boost/trans temp/oil temp gauges
Hallman MBC
Apexi TT

This is all on a freshly rebuilt stock 6bolt motor for now. I plan on upgrading internals soon. Stock rebuilt automatic trans as well.

Alright there are a couple of topics with the same issue right now in the top of the forums, so just check them out. Tom normally doesn't take long to get back.

Just trying to figure out some boost leaks today and I found quit a few on the IC pipes and those are fixed. I can now hold 17psi before the leak tester pops off and I noticed a leak on the backside of the turbo. I made sure all the bolts were tight on the turbo itself but Im wondeirng if I have a blow seal or something.

clamp that boost leak tester down nice and tight. :) 17psi sounds str8 though thats a good amount

Ill get some more pics up soon and possible a video as soon as I get all my leaks fixed and my usb adapter for dsmlink. I gotta figure out why my compressor housing feels like its leaking.

Yes a new valve cover and some shiny stuff is in mind for the ''bling'' factor

Finishing all my boost leaks. Just had to take the compressor housing off while on the car....pita! Put some copper rtv on the housing so hopefully that will fix my last leak.

I hope you put 2 nuts on each stud like I told you to do, or you'll be taking the cover off again soon. Get a pic up man!

Im getting really frustrated with this whole connecting to dsmlink and USB adapters Ive bought. I have bought about 3 different usb to serial adapters and I still can not connect to link. I just ordered the ''Keyspan" adapter since this is the one everyone says works. Hopefully it works or Im buying a new laptop that will work without the #$mn adapter!!!!

I guess I'm just not real sure how to see which comm port the adapter has been assigned.......

Still just driving the car around on the default settings(just around my block). The boost controller is all the way turned down and the car idles good and drives good but once I give it a lil gas and boost starts to build the CEL comes on indicating KNOCK.......right. So once I see that I back off, so as of right now the car is not even really building any boost due to the cel coming on and me not wanting to break anything until I can log it and see what is going on. Boost leak test is now holding 18+ psi before the da%n tester pops off.

Here are a couple pics I took just the other day. Still waiting for my AEM UEGO and keyspan adapter. Enjoy.......:thumb:

Damn that looks good! Hope you get the bugs worked out soon!!

The car is running on the defaults on the eprom I got for the dsmlink. It is set for 1000cc injectors and I have 1050cc's.

I need to figure out where to mount my other slim fan since I'm only running one now and she gets a little warm with just the little boost I'm running now

Flip the fan around and put it between your radiator and the FMIC as a pusher type. Should work for you unless you still have your AC?

unfortunately I still have my AC. That is my issue.....I can fit it behind the IC and between the AC but I don't know how much flow it will get.

what is everyones opinion on placeing the fan in between the IC and the AC core. I believe the mishimoto fans I got are only pushers so it would only suck air from the engine bay. I wouldnt think this would help with cooling and possibly hurt with heat soak in the IC core blowing hot air on it. So Im kind of at a stand still with the second fan placement.

Got my keyspan adapter today and did a couple idle logs. I couldnt do any running logs due to a dead laptop battery, new battery is in the mail so soon the tuning will begin........ ;)

You need to go to misc. in dsmlink and click on 'fans'. It will run them all the time(both i think, im not sure since i dont have ac). Dont forget to make sure it saves to the ecu. If it doesnt, then check and make sure 'fans' are still enabled(grey instead or looking like all of the other tabs), then just get an idle log or something. Dont just stream it, but hit f12
