Ebay GT35r Review

Recently the seals on my 50 trim blew. Without a lot of money burning a hole in my pocket, I found myself looking at cheaper turbos. So until I can purchase a precision or other ball bearing/billet turbo, I've decided to jump the gun on an ebay special of the GT3582.

Will be keeping this thread updated with my experience with the quality and overall usage. The car will be daily driven so we should be seeing some results fairly quickly. If you're not familiar with my build don't hesitate to check out my build profile!

Very true, I could've spent a couple hundred more and gotten something really nice! But I was in a pinch and couldn't afford more at the time. The power band would probably be a lot more enjoyable with more boost too, on a built motor.

And at the same time, somebody has to try it out! I don't doubt there will be other people in my same situation looking for a cheap turbo. Through my experience they can know to steer clear or scoop one up.

Updated last week, you'll see it on the first page. No smoking or shaft play, seeing a consistent 25psi till redline without any sort of taper. Been through almost 3 fillups since the last update, driving the car a lot. No problems so far!

The Talon is tucked away while I move and get settled in NC. Won't be any updates for a while since I'm not driving it but rest assured everything is still good as golden!

I've seen lots of people running eBay turbos. Some with good/decent experiences and others not so much. Hopefully it holds up for you...Looking forward to seeing how it goes.
