Original head
Master Power AR.63/70 Turbo
SPRINT Exhaust Manifold

Kit nitro Powertech - 100hp

Sprint shocks, kumho Ecsta dot tyres, rear trunk and front hood in fiberglass.

That's it mainly :)

Alcohol ????
You should be running a real turbo! Master power's are ok, but there's better ones out there....

On another note, the car looks very clean :thumb:

Thanks!

Yes, it runs on PUMP ALCOHOL. I don't remember exactly its composition nowadays, since it is subject to government changes, but I guess that it is 95% alcohol and 5% gas.

The turbo is doing fine... At this point, it doesn't choke the exhaust, the intake temperatures are low and it is not reaching the max flow limit...

Why would we need a better turbo?

awsome setup and awsome numbers

Thanks! But the numbers are about to be improved! At least, we hope so...going for race! On a track far from us, so the transport for the car have been arranged.

The car is ready to race, modifications from last time is more pressure, more nitrous and new rear shocks. Hope to improve the 60ft to 1.6-1.5...also we aim to achieve better top speeds.

The coils have been shortened, allowing us to fit the hood down again, bettering the cx and the visual, here's a pic...unfortunally a car passed

One worry is the clutch...have been replaced since last time too. Besides, one extra for the weekend is on the truck. Another worry is the gearbox, we opened and painted all the gears with molykote, also put molykote grease on the axles. It's a weak point we can't replace.

And some VP treatment on the Khumo tyres...become real soft after this. All the little rocks stick in it, bad ideia run around after do that.

Wish us luck everyone, we really want to improve our time!
It's very late now, going to the track or the clock will eat us...if possible I'll keep the thread up to date saturday night and sunday.

Big ups to you guys from Brazil, keep up the good work, the car is looking/running beautiful :thumb:

What are your intake temperatures like at the end of a pass for you? I would think even running a high alchohol mix for fuel wouldn't cool enough to not use some type of heat exchanger or intercooler.

Congrats and good luck going faster.

Well, the temperature is always around the 64C° (147 F)...but, what we use in this case to low the air temperature is the nitrous.

When we use it (always), the air temperature drops to 34C° (93 F).

Sorry for being so late with the news...but here's the updates:

The time go down just to 10,864...very trouble weekend. First the injectors start to create problems, later, when things were more or less ok, the car went to the track, maked 7.0 at the 1/8 and it was on it's way to mark 10.5 but on pulley fly away and the car turned off at the 300m (980ft)...still marked 140mph. The video below...the pulley also was responsable for the water pump, at the end a hose opened throwing some water around and scaring everyone about the engine.

1.7 60ft...but a bad launch...0.400 of reaction time!

All right, next year are promessing! Maybe the nines :shhh:
