GST to GSX SWAP (EVO PARTS)

Hi to all

My name is Renato i live in Southamerica. I have a 1996 Eclipse GST . My next proyect is swap my GST to GSX, but in my country not exist the GSX version but exist EVO 1, 2, 3 models.

I need know if possbile use this parts of evo for a swap awd

1) Drive Shaft
2) Carrier Differential Subframe
3) Differential

I have a Fuel Gas Tank for GSX 99

I would also like to know what parts would you need to do a full tranny swap from GST to GSX

As I'm in UK and there is 3-4 eclipes here VERY VERY rare

sorry bud, to the best of my knowledge you have to you the 2g awd parts. Best bet is to find someone who has one and is willing to ship it to you piece by piece.

It's hard to find some one trustworthy to do that. Been ripped of twice before and was put off, got the GSX bug again .

Need to source a good example GSX and shipped to UK also.

The differential subframe is definitely different between the EVOs and DSMs. The STOCK propeller shafts are definitely different (EVO uses a 2-piece unit and DSM a 3-piece), but they MAY be interchangeable if you could figure out the carrier bearing differences. But if I had to guess, I'd say they aren't interchangeable 'cause they're probably different overall lengths as well.

You will have to either import one from Europe or Japan, because in the US we don't have the amber corner lights and you will never pass an MOT. They also don't have the side indicators in the fenders, I believe that's also mandatory. Plus if you get one from EUR or Japan, you get folding mirrors

My mom had a 96 GST in the UK, I went through all this shit before. I can assess GSX's on this side of the pond if you'd like. I've got a sharp eye for accident damage and general faults.

MOT is not a problem for this car, getting it legalised in UK is a price of cake as it 10 years old and its much easier to register.

I did at one point think to fly to the US to import but that would be very $$$$. Main reason I want one is back in 2001 there was one for sale that I bought and soon after the shopping list started

Full blitz kit
Front headlights
Rear led lights
Suspension
Engine management
Carbon hood

Plus loads more can't think now. Other other problem is cant sell them in UK. So it would make sense if I buy another eclipes

You can always find a DSM'er stateside that'll be willing to inspect a purchase for you. Just make sure they know what the #### they're doing.
