2G GST to GSX Reshell

Hey crew, so my beloved GST is finished. Fwd+Ice+Wall=Bent Frame. But every tragedy sparks the possibility of a new beginning. Everything else is perfect except the fact that its front wheel drive. I'm wondering if it's possible to drop the GST 4G63 strait into a GSX shell. I.E. will the fwd engine bolt right up to the awd tranny.

I also have a brand new expensive Exedy clutch I want to keep so is the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate compatible with the awd tranny?

Yes. The 4G63T can be matched to the AWD transmission.

As for the drivetrain components, those I believe, are not interchangeable between FWD and AWD.

Did you read one of them? The first one would answer both of your questions in your post. Search, read, then if you can't find the info, post the question. This site has been around since 2002, the info is here and can be found easily with little effort.

Here's what's required (which is a list from the first link I posted) to convert a GS-T to a GSX, notice the parts list. There is nothing in there about the engine needing swapped but there is mention of needing an AWD flywheel.
