I'VE READ A BUNCH OF THE DIFFERENT POST ON HERE BUT IM STILL CONFUSED AS TO IT ALL

WHEN I COMES TO AIR FUEL I AM CLUELESS

MY PROBLEM IF ITS A PROBLEM AT ALL

I'VE GOT A 96 GST WITH A 1G HEAD 16G TURBO 660 CC INJECTORS SAFC 2
AEM WIDE BAND FUEL PRESSURE REG TAIL EXTERNAL WASTE GATE FMIC

MY EXHAUST DOES HAVE LEAKS BUT WAY AFTER MY O2 SENSOR MORE IN THE REAR

MY WIDE BAND SITS AT ABOUT 17.5 TO 18.5 "
WHEN CRUISING UNDER LIGHT THROTTLE ITS AT ABOUT 16.5
UNDER FULL THROTTLE ITS AT ABOUT 10-11

ITS CURRENTLY AT 13 LBS
VACUUM IS AT 20 AT IDLE

IM NOT SURE WHAT OTHER INFO YOU MAY NEED LET ME KNOW

ANY HELP AT ALL WILL DEFINITELY BE APPRECIATED

IF I POSTED THIS INCORRECTLY LET ME KNOW AND ILL FIX IT ASAP :thumb:

1. Which 660cc injectors are you using?
2. What pressure is your fuel at with the vacuum line OFF the regulator?
3. Tell us where your low and hi settings on your SAFC2 are at.
4. Do you have a logger? You need one. Post the info Ive asked you about and I will get you fixed up:thumb:

I think your 02 sensor is making the car run lean cause even if your AFC settings were off the computer will always try to get the air fuel at 14.7 at idle and part throttle .Your full throttle looks good because the 02 sensor isn't used for air fuel adjustment.

Thanks for the quick response

As for calibration it is calibrated as per the shop they haven't done me any wrong yet so i believe them

Injectors i really don't know the brand i'm gonna try and get you the name of them if i'm not mistaking they are RC injectors

ill get you the settings on my safc and also the fuel pressure mixing work and this so bare with me thanks again.

@ lou but even at idle should i be that lean and could my o2 be the cuase of that there new i was thinking my exhaust leaks but there all after the o2

If you have a logger and you can see your 02 voltage switching at idle from low to high and not stuck at a low voltage reading which would be a lean condition then your 02 is doing its job and the car is running good . Now if your 02 reads good and your wideband is showing lean then maybe there is air getting sucked in after the 02 sensor making the wideband read lean. Another thing you can check is your fuel trims if long term is very high and on the positive side then you are running lean for some reason. Also is your 02 sensor aftermarket or oem.

Oh, and just for reference regarding SAFC2 settings, I like it to be like this: Lo- 30%, Hi-80%, and the NE points @ 800, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 4500, 5000, 6000, 7000RPM. Be sure you have Karmen selected as your airflow sensor, and calibrate the throttle position sensor per the SAFC2 instructions and set it up like this before doing anything else and then I will help you with the low and high settings for injector compensation.
Also, I forgot to mention that the fuel pressure needs to be set @43.5psi with the vacuum line off the regulator- plug the open end of the vacuum line with a finger while setting the fuel pressure. Also, the fuel pressure regulator needs to be a quality unit, not an Ebay special, as the Ebay units are inconsistent.

I don't have a logger
Nor do I have anyone nearby I know with one wish I did
The 02 is Bosch fairly new Still haven gotten
The hi and low settings I'll have them in about an hour

I don't know why. I just have that feeling like something is off

@ kachazz first chance I get I'll. Get you all my settings. In about an hour I'll have it

Sorry for the wait

ok my safc2 settings are as follows

REMEMBER 660CC INJECTORS WALBRO 255 16G TURBO ABOUT 13 LBS OF BOOST WASTEGATE

ALSO I FEEL LIKE ON TAKE OFF IT LAGS UNTIL BOOST KICKS IN DOESNT FEEL RIGHT

HOPE THIS INFO HELPS

Something is definitely off. You need to check that fuel pressure. You should be so rich the motor should be bogging down trying to die with the low settings at 0 across the board!! Do the rpms displayed on the SAFC2 match the RPMs on the factory tach? Heres the deal, the factory fuel map is extremely rich at wide open throttle, it is 9:1 or so. Your 660cc injectors should require settings on the SAFC2 to be around -30 to -36 on both high and low just to get the car to run as it should, and you should have to take the high settings down to around -45 or so to achieve the 11:1 AFR at wide open throttle. So, yes, youve got a lean condition, and the first thing you should check is your fuel pressure. If the fuel pressure is good, you need to make sure there are no exhaust leaks in the system that are throwing off wideband readings. Also, you need to do a boost leak test right away because intake tract leaks will also cause the issues you have and it is impossible to get a good tune with leaks. Do this and tell us what you find:thumb:

I knew somthing was off i could just feel it
its running ok but i feel like it could be way better
im at about 240 hp on the dyno
when i think i should be past that

now the noob part :ohdamn: i wouldnt know where or how to start as for the leak test how can i do it ? is it like sparying a solution over every joint and listen for an rpm change
please explain it to me sorry to make you do it

As for the exhuast im gonna change it becuase my pipes seem to be rusted and thats what is cuasing the leaks got a full apex 1 cartback system for 200 istalled so i cant go wrong

are there any settings i should try and see if it halps at all ?

Thanks again for all the help:thumb:

Ill give it a shot this weekend

are there any settings i should try as the car is my daily driver
to see if the wideband readings change

exhaust is going in this weekend so lets see what happens cuase this is driving me nuts i feel lke theres so mush power to let out and its all holding back

how do i check and calibrate my aem wideband ??

looked around they are all calibrated no free air calibration needed so i guess im good there

well im doing exhaust tommorow so lets see if that helps

you can always verify your wideband sensor is working properly by doing the test AEM shows on youtube. here is the link
O2 Sensor Test - How to check to see if your aftermarket O2 sensor is bad - YouTube

Mine went bad but I didn't know because it was just reading a little bit lean. so Check it out and see if that's the problem. It would go full lean under boost with fic 1050s and a re wired walbro 255. So there was no way and I knew something was up
