2G GST downpipe

What are the best viable options out there for ordering a downpipe for my gst? Can’t find anything

I used an ebay 2.5/3" downpipe for a GSX on my 1G FWD. Not sure if that would work for a 2G but it fit without issue on a 1G. At the time I wasn't able to find anything for a FWD everything was AWD.

Thank you for the recommendation. I’m kinda iffy because I worried abt poor quality and flanges breaking. Usually a downpipe is a downpipe tho. eBay downpipe will probably suffice. I’m seeing some on alibaba as well that I don’t trust .

I bought 2 of them so I can post pics when I get home of the spare. It was the "worse" of the 2 and the welds are not "bad" for an ebay item. I added a tab on the pipe above the 90 that bolts to the factory exhaust bracket. That way any flex from engine movement isn't just supported by the flange that bolts to the o2 housing.

Since there are no good other options I wouldn't hesitate to get one from alibaba if it's cheaper than ebay. That's where most the ones on ebay are going to originate from anyways.

Not any guarentee they are still ok quality but 4 years ago or so this is what the ebay ones were like.

Is a tune a absolute must if I want to install a downpipe?

No, not at all. Our factory engine management is much simpler than these newer cars that need a tune if you breathe on them wrong. You could do a whole 3” turbo back exhaust and many other bolt ons and your stock ecu would not care in the least bit.

1 of the 2 downpipes ive found but it doesn’t ship to California. Can anyone do me a favor and let me ship it to their home out of CA and then you ship it to me. I’ll cover fees ofc.

Fits good, will not match up to a stock exhaust or 2.5 exhaust tho. The 3in outlet to the catback is oversized with a small flange shoulder

My 3in catback has a 2.5 reducer on it doh

Getting a custom catback fabricated so I should be fine. Thanks for the fitment update

Yeah, ive got it bolted together but there is still a slight leak, ill need to have an exhaust shop cut it and weld it together.

Does the downpipe connect to the o2 housing okay? Do you run stock o2?

I got a "Megan Exhaust" downpipe and while it fit the stock o2 housing well, it was super hard to tighten the nuts down to the studs coming off the o2 housing. I'm still convinced I have a slight exhaust leak at the connection there because of it.

Yeah, stock 02 housing. No issues with that connection. Even re-used the factory bolts and studs

The 3 inch outlet to the catback is the main issue
