Greddy type-s on ebay?

Are the GReddy type-s BOV on ebay for $150 new the real thing or is it some kind of knock off? Somebody that knows please help me out. Also will a universal Greddy type-s work on my 1g as long as i get the flange?

as far as i know there are no look a likes. Yes you can bolt it right on with the correct flange.
 
Actually, you don't need a new flange. The Greddy Type-S bolts up the same as the 1g, but you need to drill 2 holes in your flange for the bolts, as the BOV is not as long as the 1g.
 
i was looking about also and i see "universal" ones. Ummm what does that mean ? Will it fit both a 1G and 2G flange ? seems odd to me if that is true

Yea, I was lookin for the writeup, but I couldn't find it. You can reverse it, but you need to scrape off all the Greddy gasket and fill the holes you drilled. I don't see why you would want to go back, but its possible.

well if i have the dejon UICP flanged for a 1G do i have to buy another adapter to hook this up without leaking ? You say they have no flange which made me go :confused:

Eh? The flange is to fit the Type S onto the stock pipe. If you've got an aftermarket pipe already, you won't need it, however, since you don't have the Type-S flanged pipe, which Dejon does offer, you'll probably still have to do some drilling.

basically the Type-S "Kit" for the eclipse, comes with a flange similar to this one, to stick in the hole that the stock bov was in, the universal doesn't have a flange.

sweet georgia brown . I think im going to pick one of them up from ebay their pretty cheap. For some reason i feel rice if i get one :p
 
i have full Dejon I/C piping on my 95 GSX. Originaly came with a 1g BOV. When i got the Greddy i just followed the directions on the site mentioned above and centered the BOV and drilled 2 holes. Its really easy and the whole project takes like 1 Hr to do if you are really anal about cleaning up all the metal flakes from the drilling. but if you put a piece of cloth in the hole you should be fine.



Also for anyone getting the type-S got to the search menu and look for "single spring mod"
while your BOV is out you might as well do this too.
 
yeah next pay day i am going to pick that up and also do that mod to the UICP. I did read something about it before i just wanted to make sure that the middle didnt go over the edges making a leak which i know now it does not.

Single spring mod , havent heard that one its new to me but i have time so i will look it up , thanks man. :thumb: :thumb:
 
no problem.

and do/look at the single spring mod. i havd a small problem with my engine studdering (no, i am recirculating) when shifting and the mod made my type-s open a lot easier, and now my shifts are really smooth.

I painted mine flat black to get rid of that purple. As far as the single spring mod that guy ^ mentioned, I don't personally see a need for it. Mine is fine.
