I got a 98 gsx auto for 1700. Its been a week and i finally got her started tonight. Things that need to be fixed are.

1. car wont turn off when i take the key out (have no idea how to fix it?)
2. car has a bad idle (I think it needs its timing fixs)
3. need to fix all boost leaks (have two broke bolts need to tap them)
4. connect all my gauges (the wiring from the turbo timer is all wrong)

As for tonight i m so glad i atlest got it started

You answered your own question. The reason the car won't shut off when you take the key out is more than 99% likely because the wiring from the turbo timer is all wrong.

The reason that the car doesn't turn off is that the turbo timer is keeping it running from the sounds of it.

yea buddy turbo timers the problem. so how do you get your car to turn off? Just let it run til its out of gas?

As far as your boost leaks go, what are the 2 broken bolts you're talking about? And what gauges do you need to wire up? You've probably already done all this but double check all your vacuum hoses, all the sensors, compression, fluid levels, filters, spark plugs, just your basic tune up stuff. The more we know, the more we can help

If your timing is off also it can keep your car running after you turn the key off.
