1G good engine rebuild resources

So I'm gonna start my new setup pretty soon. I plan to build a 2.3L stroker. I already got a 6 bolt block ready to go, I'll worry about the head later on. I wanna learn how to do the work myself, how to assemble it myself. I'll leave the machine work to the professionals. I believe in doing it yourself is the best way to learn.

What books can i buy to help me and what websites could i visit besides tuners? you guys are a big help...but i want to see pretty pictures telling me what to do step by step.

www.vfaq.com has a lot of great tutorials with pictures on how to do everything yourself. You'll probably want to click on the Engine section and read for awhile
