Im looking to make 350whp dd/street car only.

Motor - I plain on doing a rebuild sometime in the near future. I'm thinking about swaping to the 6 bolt from my 1g 7 bolt. Will there be a significant hp gain in running the 6 bolt with evo or 2g pistons, or at 350whp should I just rebuild my 1g 7 bolt(will be stock internals)?

Turbo - Im currently running the small 16g at 18psi. Most threads I've read guys seem to run E85 on the EvoIII. I'm only going to be running 93 pump at 25 psi max. Will the 20g with the 05 hotside at 25psi get me there? Or what turbo with the quickest spool time will get me there at 25psi if this turbo even exist?

Head - Whats all needed here if I go with cams? Or will stock rebuild be good enough.

My profile is up to date, and I think I already have everything besides the right turbo for pump gas, cams and cam gears to get me there. If I'm missing something let me know.

Keep the 16g. The reason people run e-85 is because it's has the octane rating of 104 and they can use a lot of timing in the tune to make more power.

2g pistons will up the compression and will work on your rods with no machine work. 350 can be had on a rebuild of the motor you have now. Get yourself a set of ARP head studs and rod bolts to be on the safer side (personal suggestion).

With the dsmlink you have now, you'd get to your goal faster by using e-85 and probably larger injectors (less duty cycle). But 93 will do in case it's not popular in your area. Also link forums (and dsmtuners) will help you tune if you post up logs/ do your share of research.

e-85 isn't popular in my area, and I think Id come out cheaper in the long run staying on pump gas. Anyone think the 350whp is possible at 25psi and pump gas on the 20g with the 05 housing and still give pretty good spool?

With a 20g on pump, i dont see why you wont hit 350whp. Im at 12 psi right now while the engine fully breaks in and im making 243whp. My turbo may be a bit larger than a 20g but not much. Its plenty fast already, i think 350 is going to be ridiculous in this little car.

Theres never a reason NOT to go forged. Unless money is an issue. I consider it insurance. Ive got longlbock that could probably handle 700hp. Will i ever make that, no, course not. I would get upgraded rods like eagle if i were you. ARP studs, new oil pump etc etc. the list is long when doing a proper rebuild. The machinist will tell you everything you need.
If you get the block and head decked, you can get a MLS headgasket. Good for alot of pressure.
And remember, you want this to be a DD. So a 20g is a large turbo for a DD if im not mistaken. Will have a bit of lag to it. You want to take this into consideration. DSMs are so rattly and uncomfortable i would never personally DD one LOL, but many, many people do.

Ive read that the 20g with the tdho5 housing is just a tad bit slower when it comes to lag compared to the 16g. I was thinking the 20g because 25psi is close to maxing the 16g, and probably a comforable range on the 20g. Just need to know if it will make the 350whp on 25psi. Thats all I'll ever run on my dd, even if I go forged or not.

What kind of hp gains will I see if any by upping the compression to 8.5 or 9.1?

You will always see a rise in power with a rise in compression. Its the way it works. But, on the flip side, you might need higher octane to run a certain boost on higher comp pistons before knock gets ya. My 09 zx10r runs damn near 12.5:1 i think and makes nearly 200 crank hp/liter LOL. That gives you an idea.
Your setup with the 20g sounds fine. No need to run e85 if you dont want. You can and will hit 350hp bud. 25psi, 8.5:1 comp, and pump gas with a good tune on a 20g should even surpass that number. But here i am, bench racing.... LOL. GL , Only way to know for sure is start putting it together.
