I was wondering can you some how use the GM MAF on the stock UICP. I dont really want to spend money on a GM UICP and turn around and get rid of it when I get a FMIC. Just thought maybe someone had done this, had an idea or had input for it. I will do what I got to though. Thanks

I never heard of a way going around...everyone said get a blow thru....and I would say just do it the right way instead of causing problems you didnt want and such...but maybe there is a way...if there is let me know :thumb:

Yes, You can use a gm 3" mafs in the blow through set up with a stock intercooler pipe.

You need :

2 - 2" to 3" couplers (Lowes/homedepot plumbing section).

Something to cut your uicp with.

If you have ever been in autozone/advanced auto, i'm sure you seen the little exhaust pipes they have? You need two of the very tiny ones. With these, You will put one end inside of your stock ic pipe, And the other side inside your new coupler. This way, You can tighten it down, If it's not hard, How are you going to tighten it? I'm sure you know what I am saying, You will need something to adapt the coupler and uicp together, Being you cant just tighten rubber on rubber that is soft, I'm sure it would just blow off.

If someone says it cant be done, Their wrong. I've seen it in person already.

Good luck.

^^ exactly...thats what I have done on my car. I didn't feel like dropping $200 for a GM MAF UICP (lots of acronyms...LOL) especially after just buying an aftermarket UICP...so I just cut a few inches off of it. The Extreme Motorsports UICP was so thick that I went through 2 sawzall blades.
