before you order your HG, have the thickness of you head measured, after it is rebuilt, so you will know what thickness HG to order,

I would let the machine shop get the guides (if needed) that way if you need +.002 guides they will know

since your getting new valves, you may as well get the +1mm

I have installed many sets of the BC springs and not had complaints about them.

I would get diffrent valve stem seal, makee sure they are Viton "Blue" seals they handle the higher temps

I am on a friends computer right now, but if you look through my posts "How to" guide work, surfacing a head for MLS HG, Oil Mod #1
It will give you an idea of what your looking to have done from your head.

if the machine shop you go to uses stones to grind valve seats and/or a belt surfacer to flatten a head, I would recomend you find a diffrent machine shop.
That equipment may be good for an old school chevy, but will not be good for you 4G63
