my other half was surfing on craigslist and came across this buy for 6k, understanding that the guy lost the build sheet 3-4 years ago I called the place where the engine work was said to have been done however the company was sold RIGHT after the work was done. The guy that runs the shop now called the past worker and he did remember the previous car owners name and confirmed that there was a fair amount of work done (i.e. bore, pistons, cams, and port/polish/balanced/ blueprinted). I felt a bit better about that. looking at the engine I realize that all the boost piping is stock, and still has the SMI and im in the process of looking for a GOOD FMI. The roof scoop has been riveted on and there is a nasty scoop line so im not sure just yet how to mold the scoop into the roof so it has the look of "made to be there". I have yet to find a scratch on the rims. My profile has a list of what is on the car as of right now and will be updated the SECOND new parts are installed. I'm looking for opinions on the car (go ahead with the lime green jokes I've heard alot of them so far). Anyway this is the new ride and hope to get close to 350 hp out of her. This is our first eclipse so I'm not sure where to start.

Also recirculate the BOV and get a cam gear cover. Please loose the wing by selling it to a Honda kid and using the money to properly fix/maintain/upgrade the vehicle.

the process of de-ricing is sure to happen, I have NO idea what the previous owner was thinking but the motor being VERY solid makes up for HAVING to REPAINT.......SOON!!! The NASA wing is going to go, may put another wing on it but NOT like that. I almost took it off for the ride home. I'm thinking of going with a wrap in flat/matte black. not sure....

I don't think the Honda kids around here would buy it.... It may be too small for em

Im a kawasaki guy, so i LOVE the color. I would love to see someone actually build a lime green 2gb, without a body kit, a wing and just make it nasty fast...kinda like the supra from hell.

Ditch the body kit and the shopping cart handle, and leave it green. I kinda would like to see how one would look all set up.

So after a long talk with the other half we have come to an agreement, the wing is gone for a lower profile wing, the lime green stays along with the body kit.......now for the really bad news.....she wants the brian O'conner look, THIS saddens me almost to the point of no return but she has redeemed herself some by giving me free reign over the internals, motor, and mechanics of "her" toy, ALONG with free reign over the card to order whatever is "needed" for it. It saddens me greatly to say that, as of now it, will look like the movie car (yes she is looking for the exact body graphics too), but will run ALOT better. Rest assured I am doing everything in my power to correct this issue but when momma aint happy no ones happy. She has turned her attention to exterior so I need advice on interior/engine work. I almost just bought a crate motor off one of the web sites at the top just to sink the account before she did more damage to the exterior but this motor already having decent power I decided to just add to it. So bring on the ideas and suggestions..........

Maintenance, get the oil changed with good oil, change the plugs, wires, check the base timing, do a compression test, change the gear oil in the trans, change the belts if they need to be,check the timing belt, clean the air filter, check the turbo for shaft play do a boost leak test, git rid of the hideous blow off valve and get either a 1g and crush it or get a different one and recirculate it. Then start doing your upgrades.

Don't bother with the FMI just yet unless you get a bigger turbo you will loose power if you put that on because the t25 turbo cant push enough air through a FMI. If you plan on getting a bigger turbo I suggest 16g set at stock boost with a FMI and you will be ok for every day driving but if you plan on beating on it youll have to get dsmlink, injectors, afpr, a 255wallbro, boost gauge and boost controller, and a wide band for tuning. and you can easily get your hp goals out of that maybe more with the right tuning
