I can buy a 96 TSI from a friend of an aquaintance.. it needs a new EVERYTHING... but the price is like 300-400... So I figure it can't be that bad... This is what is wrong with it... give me so price estimates to fix it....

Exhaust leak: probably will fix with ful custom 3 inch exhaust
engine is shot to hell: 6 bolt?
tranny is shot to hell
new shocks are needed
new breaks are needed
new hub bearings are needed
new turbo is probably needed: This might be a good time to put in a evo 16g

and prob normal wear and tear too

and would you do it if given the opportunity... or is it too much?

I was figuring it would be my new project car since the eclipse is almost done...

If you could do all the work yourself I'd say go for it, but it would cost too much $$ to get it done in a shop to make it worth a while....

I know the previous owner that i bought my 95 tsi from paid almost $2000 to have the auto tranny rebuilded and installed....
