Can a faulty intake manifold gasket cause gas to leak in my oil? I did a comp check we are 155 150 161 150. So pretty clean across the board. Couldn't access my injectors today to see if i have a cracked cap or broken injector. So i ask you, can a faulty / broken intake manifold gasket cause gas in my oil. I have read about 12 topics regarding this and have done just about everything suggested i could access today. What makes me lean towards IM gasket is the fact i have a small idle surge 1500 to 2000 on and off doesn't do it consistent, and on top of that my car wont boost past 9 PSI and if i boost 2nd n 3rd gear by 4th the psi drops to about 6-7.

Any suggestions would be great and ill keep reading on.

A faulty fuel pressure regulator can cause this type of problem, pull the vaccum line of the FPR and see if there's any fuel coming out, if it's wet than change out the FPR. A bad FPR will pull fuel into the motor via vaccum line causing a rich condition and washing out the cylinder walls with fuel, if the FPR is ok than I would look elsewhere (injectors, boost leaks, etc). Anytime there's fuel in the crankcase it's not good for the bearings, seals or rings, so I would get it fixed ASAP.

Yea im trying to jump on this situation asap. So i am going to check my Throttle plate screw and make sure its backed off all the way and not holding it open then im going to make sure the TB is clear of all debris and try that. I will also since you said something check my FPR and while doing my TB im going to (mechanic told me this) get 4 paper towel sheets, start my car for 2 seconds turn it off pull the injectors then lay them on the paper towel. Goal here is if the towel is wet the injector is bad in theory.

Update: Took it to a shop today and the mechanic said the throttle is open 7.5% while the car is at idle. He included this could be causing my flooding issue

Can anyone comment on this? This doesn't seem abnormal for a car at idle if I can remember back to my last few cars that would show me throttle percentage. I could be remembering wrong though...

Do what i am going to do and run a vacuum check on your intake manifold and see if it flutters. Maybe a valve as what im told.

Oh also this weekend i ordered a brand new Evo 3 16G with install kit, turbo timer, going to get 450 injectors(someone on this site), clean throttle body and run the vacuum check on my valves, and boost leak test. After this weekend i should have it all pretty much squared away!! And lets just say all in all with all i just bought im about $1050 in. Went all MHI, Apexi and, AEM!! Up next is a 255 wal, and a Dejon intake system (k&n OEM style is on now).

Your buying all this sweet stuff but do you even have an AFPR? Fuel in the oil from what I have read is caused by to much fuel pressure and that is probably being caused by your injectors that is throwing a code. Try running a can of sea-foam through your injectors and see if that helps. And I am guessing you need to rebuild your throttle body because they always leak. You will find that out when you do a boost leak.

Well i took my TB apart and cleaned it out, the TB cable was way to tight and the throttle screw was holding it even more open. So i adjusted all that down and i now have a 850-1000 idle. Come to find out i have a home made BOV flange where my BOV was lose and both connections to the upper intercooler piping was lose as well. So in that case 3 boost leaks sealed. Also on top of it my car was idling around 950 and i can hear my injector making a very loud ticking noise that comes on and off. So i am thinking this is the bad injector #2.

Getting boost leak tester today and going to go ahead and order the injectors today!

Just ordered a Boost leak tester and a vacuum gauge to check my Valves.

well for starters, none of the supplied lines fit, they all have to be bent and modified to get them to the right places, My new oil drain for the turbo is too long and doesn't reach the pan, my J pipe and 90 line up like its suppose to go to a front mount, and my down pipe wont reach the o2 housing.

Now i gave all the details to the supplier when i ordered. Year make model engine and intercooler. I did not spend 800$ to have to modify my own shit. Going back to the blown T25 today and will look into getting a T28 instead of a 16G.

Alright been a while but i got a second opinion on my car and why its running the way it is. Here it is:
The TPS is bad and isnt even sending or receiving a signal, My after market BOV (came with car) is venting to much air and causing a boost leak, both my o2s are bad, and i need to replace my fuel filter. Now this guy determined all of this in about 15 minutes of running some test. So im on my way to fixing all of it.

OUCH 150$ TPS ordered

so your bov was vented to atmosphere?

if so that was most likely 99% of your problem

My car was 1/2 quart over full due to my fuel injectors being bad, im assuming at least one was stuck open. I put a spare set in and havent had a problem since.

replaced TPS car is running a bit better. 5th gear 2700RPM 60mph A/F is 13.7, and at idle its around 14.2 under full boost is 10.0 and it seems to smell a little better in the cockpit. Turbo still blown and BOV still causing big leak. Getting both of those taken care of next week with Factory T25 and OE BOV setup. After all this im going to reset the ECU and see if i get more codes...

Both of those should be around 14.7:1. Sounds like your front O2 sensor may be flaky.

This is still very rich.

After reading through this thread, I honestly think you need to just back away from the car, take a few deep breaths, and do a lot of reading...especially the upgrade paths.

You mentioned a bunch of upgrades at one point (bigger turbo, bigger exhaust, etc.) and were then planning on a new intake and 255 pump....but you were looking everywhere for tiny little stock 450 injectors. You also stated you bought a turbo timer, which is completely useless unless you pull into your parking spot under boost and then immediately turn the car off. This doesn't make a lot of sense.

Not only that, you have absolutely nothing to tune or datalog with that I can see, which should be your first priority after ALL of the maintenance and basic mechanical tune-up issues are fixed. (Have you replaced plug wires? What plugs and what gap are you running? Accessory belts? Have the BISS and TPS adjustments been done? BLT? Exhaust leaks?)

I really think you need to slow down a bit, and come up with a more organized approach to your car...otherwise you are in for a long, frustrating, and expensive experience.
