After taking the two apart and porting the turbine housing (evoIII 16g), when I put them back together, there's a 14 thousandths gap where the compressor housing and turbine housing meet. The pin is going in and there doesn't appear to be any obstructions but that gap just won't close. Any suggestions?

well after taking the v-band clamp off of my old 14b and seeing this same gap, i'm assuming it's normal. is it?

That gap is normal, and it is the where the bearing housing mates to the turbine housing.
