FWD to AWD

I have a 92 GST and i just bought a 91 talon TSI complete car motor runs and everything for $150 and i was wondering if i could switch over the AWD to my car. And if the transfer case will fit on my tranny or will i have to switch over the tranny too?

I'm not going to say it's impossible, because it's not, but it is DEFINITELY not cost or time effective. You are better off just buying an AWD shell and putting your motor into it.

Agreed. Basically, it would be very, very expensive and not worth it.

Congrats, sounds like you got a great deal. I too am interested in the FWD -> AWD swap, but after researching this site a bit, I found its not cost effective and very hard to do. Have you considered using the talon as a foundation for the AWD setup you want? I mean, if the talon is in good shape structurally (and not totaled), then you wouldn't even have to do the eng/trans/AWD swap. Anyways, just some food for thought. Good Luck...

Well the AWD i bought has no title and i cant get 1 for it......but how is it going to cost i have everything i need....or do i, i mean just swap all the suspension and axles and stuff right? i dont care about time.
