full boost but no pull

I've been trying to fix this myself for a while and couldn't find a post that could help.

I can have full or partial boost and it will barely accelerate sometimes.

The problem is worse and always does it when it's not up to temp. It starts going away when it is driven for around 10 minutes which is well after the temp gauge shows it's warmed up. When it begins to boost and pull properly it gets a little jerky like it is pulling a little harder then harder and harder in steps almost.

If it boosts and it doesn't pull, then I let off occasionally there is is a popping like a backfire.

I've already done a boost leak test with no problems and I've swapped from a T25 to a 14B and the problem seems a little worse.

Check plugs/gaps and wires and perform a compression test.

I checked the gaps and they were ~.033, I regapped them to .028. i've got to go, i'll post if that was it later. I'll be one happy camper if it is.

Make sure you have NGK plugs in there. Get a logger from someone and check to see how many counts of knock you're getting from a 3rd gear pull. Also keep an eye on how much your timing is being pulled.
