boost shows but no pull

Ok i have a 91 talon tsi with 6bolt motor and a k&n and a dejon cold air, so this brings me to my problem this car has cost me so much money im about to get rid of her because i cant afford it. My car doesnt pull at all it feels like im driving a 1996 sunfire 4 dr . When i start it up the idle is at 2,000 for about 30 seconds then it starts to drop below 1000 and wants to stall. On excelleration the car builds boost you can hear it but it will not pull in 1st gear aftermarket boost gauge reads like 6, then second it will rev and build sometimes to 7 psi and then sometimes all the way up to 11psi but still wont pull, when you excellerate it will sound normal til the boost builds then it will hold it and go vrrrrrrrrrroooooommm like your not in gear but it doesnt decellerate. I have no idea but it makes me so angry that i know this car has so much potential but i dont have the brains or cash to fix every little thing every 200 miles someone ### help. I also have a brand new clutch proffesionally installed so im doubting thats the problem.

1. Define 'brand new clutch', did you break it in?
2. Check for boost leaks.

sounds like a deff need for a boost leak test. how are your spark plugs?
