fuel system help

i have a 97 talon that i put a turbo kit i have a begi rising rate what i did was ran a hose from the test port on the fuel rail to the in port on the regulator and then ran a line from the out port to the top of the gas tank where the old regulator hose went is the this the right way to do it ? if so can you just remove the stock regulator ?

Sound right. Did u remove the valve stem from the test port? Other then that you should be good.
