420A Fuel sending unit/fuel gauge float?

Hey everyone, having some trouble finding some information on the fuel sender or fuel gauge float. Was recently informed that the mr392017 part had been discontinued, which sounds about right to me I’ve searched this forum and the internet and have only come up with the discontinued part. Unless I’ve missed a hidden thread So I’m wondering, had anyone ever used an universal aftermarket fuel sender/float? What brand and how well does it read? Or if anyone else has other solutions?

My bad. sorry about that. It would seem that mr392017 was used on later models like my 99.

I didn't realize there was a different part for the earlier models. Good catch @Widgmaster!
