I have a 1gb fwd and I couldn't find a Fuel Gauge Sending Unit that was in good condition. I want to let the community know that getting it repaired is an option. I contacted Desert Classic Parts and they were able to repair mine and it works perfectly now.

Dang, wish I had known that. I actually purchased a fwd sender a few years ago, hoping I could transplant the guts into my awd hanger. It didn’t work, and I ended up with an aftermarket/ universal unit that took some serious fiddling to make it work. I’ll have to search my old parts invoices (big stack) to see where I purchased from, but I suppose it isn’t so relevant if there is a way to fix old ones. Nice find!
