That's exactly what I did to mine. Don't buy those expensive adapters unless you plan on going back to stock some day. Tap, install with tephlon sealant and call it good.

Ahh I remember coming across that thread when I was searching to tap my rail.

I tapped mine with a 3/8 NPT and used the following NPT > -6AN adapters from summit ith a little ARP thread sealer:

Here's an easy way to adapt -6AN to your stock fuel filter to get rid of the banjo bolt and make a nice feed line:
From Summit:
Mikuni Carb Adapter - Replaces Banjo
-6 AN 45* - Then run your braided line to another -6 45* on the inlet of the rail.

You can go a cheaper route and use a NPT to AN 90* adapter on the rail inlet as well, but it really only saves you a couple bucks. :thumb:
 
Thanks guys for the help. I ended up just buying two 6an weld ons for like 3 bucks each and took my fuel rail to a local guy and welded the fitting onto the rail for only 10 bucks. so instead of spending 54 or almost 60$ for two little fittings. I paid around 16 dollars. I am like most dsm guys always broke due to having to buy parts after parts LOL.
