first off to even get my recently acquired 95 talon to start a half can of carb cleaner is needed in the intake manifold. it wont go fast enuff to shift outta second and forget hitting boost. from what i can figure out is its not getting enuff fuel to start or run. it has a walbro 255 high pressure fuel pump thats been rewired. thats it as far as the fuel system goes. ive disconected the return line off the fpr and started the car, the pump kicks on an i sprayed gas across my garage. would a afpr solve my headaches? are the injectors clogged or not big enuff? any help would be greatfully appreciated. :talon:
 
First off you really need an afpr that rises1:1 with boost. I gaurantee you are running mad rich with a 255hp and no regulator. Also check your turbo for shaftplay and perform a boost leak test:dsm:
 
^ I ran a wlabro 255 for a year with stock FPR with no problems....

What are the mods on this car? If you have fuel and pressure at the fuel rail, and it wont start or idle let alone drive, I would check the injectors
 
yeah once i get it running it will bog down really bad when i try to accelerate. as far as other mods go the car has a 16g turbo, ngk plugs, magnecor wires, front mount intercooler, hks ssqv bov, fuel 3 inch exhaust, ect. every thing but the fuel pump is stock as far as fuel componets go. and i have fuel crazy fuel pressure after the stock fpr, as if it not even there. every thing as far as the turbo goes seems fine, no shaft play or anything, i will work on the boost leak test.
 
well, Get to the boost leak test, I had a similar problem when 2 of my injector insulators cracked at the base of the injector where they slide into the head.
