fuel pressure regulator question

Ok so last night i installed my "FueLab 515" fuel pressure regulator kit. Everything went good. My question is setting the pressure. When i set the correct pressure with the boost line taken off and capped with my finger, when i put the boost line back on, the pressure drops? Is this the way you set it? i Thought it should read 43.5psi?

Set at 43.5psi with the vac line off, then put the line back on. Yes pressure will drop a few psi with the vac line back on, this is normal.

well, i got the afpr installed and the 255 pump installed. Just ordered dsmlink v3 lite today. After thats installed, i will be putting in my fic 850's and going to get dyno tuned! Also found out my fuel pump already had the rewire done which was sweet! Do you think with the addition of these things from just having an untuned 16g, will i feel a big difference?
