fuel leak

I have a fuel leak near my back right tire its not the filler next what could it be? is the fuel filter around there? should I replace that?

Could be a leak at the tank, somewhere how well have you looked?

where should I look on the gas tank for the leak?

Get under the car and see where its leaking from get a light and start probing around, could be a line.

There are more tubes/hoses in that location then just the large tank fill tube. See link below. Not sure where the fuel filter is on a 420A.

if it is a gas line can i just use a reg heater hose or do i need something more durable?

I would get fuel line hose thats just me, or even go to the dealership.

ok ill run over to advanced auto and see if they have them if i can find the leak.

The fuel filter is in the area you are describing!

Could be the fuel filter needs new crush washers or just simply tightened up.

would replacing the fuel filter help? its never been replaced and the car is a 96. would that also improve gas millage?

I took a look at it tonight and i could smell gas right behind the gas tank from the rubber lines. so I guess the next step would be to see if my local advanced auto has that size fuel hose right?
