im leaking gas and im not happy about it. it looks like its coming from the fuel filter. my mechanic said its the line from the tank to the filter it leaks right under the passenger side door. i have a newer fuel filter from the previous owner. what should i do?

Replace the line.

STM sells nice kits for pump to rail.

I got my kit from fast track. PM nikkeebabee if your intrested in theirs. Real good customer service and good prices from both places.

Just another piece of advice. If your feed line is that rusted and messed up, you may want to just replace the feed and the return at the same time.

in my fuel system it goes straight from the tank to the filter but something is leaking gas in my car and im not sure where its coming from i tried replacing the filter but it didnt stop but it did mildly decrease.

Find where it is leaking and replace the damaged line/hose.

A check valve isn't going to help anything if you have a leak.

Most likely it is coming from the line on top off the fuel pump. Where the two line connect together. Take out your back seat and remove the hidden pump hatch and see if it is leaking at the pump itself.

Hi everyone, sorry for reviving that old thread but i need held and as im new to this forum i cant start a new thread, i searched alot bit find nothing similar to my problem.
So today i start my car and let it idle for 2min and then i turn it off, it starts smelling fuel and i watched under the car and i see fuel on the ground right to where is located the transfer case, later the same day i did it again just to check and no smell and no leak, this is the second time this happen and i want to fix it cause i dont want to drive it like that just to be safe.
I checked everywhere but cant find from where its leaking.
Can someone help please?
Thank you.

The fuel lines run above the transfer case to the fuel filter so there must be some issue there. You can always just buy a nice fuel lab filter with new SS lines all the way to the tank. Haha, I'm sure that would fix it. Maybe the fuel filter is clogging or something?

I found out and fix it two day after my post but i forget to give you feedback. So it was leaking below the brake fluid can there is a hardline with a hose attached to it, the clamp holding the rubber hose was loosen, i just tight it up and the problem goes. Btw thanks to vegas smith for helping
