Does anybody have any helpful tips for changing the fuel filter, I really don't want to, but it has to be done.
Is there a way to get more access? And is it possible to install the Aeromotive fuel filter in its place with out running aftermarket lines?

not unless you can get a 14x1.5mm female inverted flare to AN adapter fitting to convert the stock hard line. Good luck on finding that fitting. I just like to cut the bottom fitting out the a stock fuel filter, or use the fittings off the rubber line in the back as they are the same size and tig weld -06 male fittings to them to make my own fittings.

Let me know if you need to resort to that im thinking of welding a few more when i get time

*oh and check out K&N billet fuel filters, they run about $35 and filter to 10micron

Are the K&N ones for fuel injected engines though? Because there IS a difference.

And i don't know about 2g's for sure, but on my 1gb i had to pull the battery to get enough room. Which was ok, ### my ecu needed a reboot after my injector/uicp/intake install anyway.

Remove your battery and battery tray and you will have more than enough room to play with your fuel filter. Take a 17mm open ended wrench to the bottom banjo bolt and hold it there in place. While holding it, take 17mm socket wrench to the top fitting and break it loose. Do the same for the bottom fitting and you will be golden.

If I may ask, how did you run those nice times and put down over 300 awhp without knowing how to do these simple things? This is the second thread I've ran into with these type of questions? Just wondering..

Maybe his pit crew is on vacation. Can Jeff Gordon change a fuel filter? Maybe not :shhh:

If you have "crows feet" it will go alot easier, just make sure you hold the bottom so the line doesn't twist. I messed with it for almost three hours taking it off for the first time until my old man recommended crows feet. It broke free immediately using them.

The 95 TSI in my profile came with an aeromotive Fuel Filter, when I purchased it, and I have had no problems with so..
This is on my 91 GSX, I have another Aeromotive fuel filter, thats why i asked if would bolt up. I DO ALREADY KNOW HOW to change the fuel filter, that is why I asked for TIPS not a how too... Maybe there is a better way than the way I am doing it, no knowledge gained if you dont try new ways.
Now do you understand.
