I just installed a slowboy racing fmic and now anything past 4lbs of boost I have fuel cut.Brought it in did a leak test and fixed a couple leaks reteted no boost leaks and still fuel cut.Do I need bigger injectors or turn the fuel pressure up.Please help me.

Do I have to retune the maft translator to compensate for cooler air flow?

I had the same problem. Think of it this way, the new FMIC you have flows WAY more than the factory side mount, so with greater airflow you will need more fuel to compensate for it. You need bigger injectors and/or a high flow fuel pump. Also, a tuning tool or ECU flash like ECMlink to lean out the trims, other wise you will run filthy rich. So anytime you introduce more air into an engine, especially a boosted engine, you are allowing a greater amount of air to enter, and will need more fuel with it. Good luck! :thumb:

The addition of the FMIC shouldn't have any negative impact. When you finished pressure testing how high did you go and how long did the pressure hold before dropping off?

Your PM said that you also added a MAFT but I don't see any upgraded injectors in your profile. If the MAFT isn't correctly set it can cause fuel cut.

I went to 25 psi it held for about 45 to 60 seconds and gradually dropped.I had the maft set with the side mount and was pulling good.Would upgrading injectors help I have a walbro pump and afr to install just no injectors yet.
