My wheel bearing, hub assembly, axle, upper ball joint are all either rusted together, or stuck (axle in the hub) does anyone know if the same parts from a fwd will fit on the awd. Now i know that the caliper and rotor are different sizes. But what I want to do it unbolt the control arms and try to keep the whole assembly together and swap it from a fwd to my awd. Being I have a fwd parts car and I know those are not all rusted together. Are the splines different on the fwd axle and the awd axle?

im going to assume your talking about the front suspension since your pulling it off your GST...
everything in the front suspension of a GSX will swap with a GST except the axles. the GST/GSX axles are splined the same, its the inner part of the axle thats different.
IMO go to a auto parts store and buy a can of PB Blaster and use it OBNOXIOUSLY on everything your trying to break loose. if it works you'll only have to tear apart one suspension instead of two...

I shall buy some PB blaster when I return home, we tried WD40 but had some crappy luck. We ended up stripping the threads and jamming the castle nut on the axle and dont know how to get it out, other then a torch?

that sucks :banghead: got to hate when you start stripping threads, unfortunately, PB blaster doesn't fix that. you've got a LONG list of options if that kingnut is cross threaded, all of them are a PITA though. I bet by the time your done and your GSX is up and rolling again you'll know how to take apart that suspension with your eyes closed if you don't already. If that axles stripped as well as the kingnut then this is what id do... dousche the kingnut in PB blaster and get an impact gun on it, if you don't have air tools then a big breaker bar. You can't ruin it anymore and your looking at a lot of time taking apart suspensions if you can't get that axle out of there...

good luck

Well I will try most things before calling dad to bring down the plasma cutter LOL
I've taken apart the suspension numerous times on the gst so its easy to do with the eyes shut thats for sure. Thanks for the help
