Front signal lights flash but tail signals wont

HI, i have a 97 eclipse rs non turbo. I am having trouble getting the tail signal lights to flash. The fronts flash just fine but the rear lights just stay on. No flashing or anything. I have changed out the turn signal control module behind the a/c controls. And have also changed out the turn signal switch on the steering column. Still having the same problem.

Please help! I do roadside assistance in this car and am on the road 24/7! Cops in my city are lame and love to write tickets for the dumbest things.

You checked fuses and bulbs??
check if you have energy in the bulbs

Do they flash when you turn your hazzards on? I'm fairly certain there is a different control module for hazards than there is for turn signals. So if they work with the hazards I'd say the replacement flasher module has an issue.

No they dont flash when i turn the hazards on.

Yes all fuses are good. Bulbs have energy because the come on. They just stay on all the time and dont flash.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did some research on this site and other people are having the same problem. with no solutions.

i'd try replacing the flasher relay, if that doesn't work then it could be a wiring issue between the flasher relay and turn signal/hazards switch.

I already replaced the relay, but the next thing i was going to look at is wiring.

oh, well process of elimination takes the win here then, if wiring is ok then that only leave the turn sig/hazard switch. good luck bro

i cant find any cuts or breaks in the wire. Im stumping myself here other people have experienced this same problem with no solutions. Im at my wits end dudes.

Do your stop lights work?
Are you using the correct dual filament bulbs in rear?
