Did the edm tail wire up as specified on these instructions
http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/correct-2g-edm-taillight-wiring-with-pictures.462588/

Everything works accept my rear turn signals and hazards can't figure it out. I wired the chasis side of the gray/blue wire to the amber bulb socket as specified and wired the red/grey wire the same on the opposite side, i also connected the wires to the resistors so they wouldn't quick flash. I tried disconnecting the wire leading to the resistors to see if it was just a bad ground but still nothing. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

P.s. I also did check fuses to make sure none were blown.

Sorry i ended up figuring it out, the second ground on the socket where the bulb sits itself wasnt touching the bulb, so once i connected bent the second light bulbs worked

My brake lights turn signals and hazard lights won't work on the car. Everytime I try to hazard lights or the right turn signal I blow a fuse under the dash and one under the hood. The one fuse is for the turn lamps the other one the taillights. Does it make a difference which size bulbs are in the back of the tail lights? Aftermarket tail lights and I take different bulbs than stock. Help me guys I really don't know what I'm going to do. Any advice on where to look for grounds or shorts would be helpful

Normally you would start a new topic versus resurrecting the old.

Fuses are rated in amps (amperage) and should blow to prevent damage to a circuit - such as the wiring; which can melt insulation or burn the wire itself. Depending on what bulb you are using it will draw a certain wattage x volts. For example, 12 volts x 60 watt bulb = 5 amps; X 4 bulbs = 20 amps. That is rather exaggerated for taillight bulbs.

Remove the bulbs from the taillights one by one - or remove all and add them back one by one. Check the connectors on the taillights. You did not say which aftermarket tail light assembly you purchased but many of the companies with the chinese junk are known for wiring issues.

No worries. I am not the thread police and these people seem pretty tolerant of new people like us. They do seem to watch the rules though.

Being new we are kind of limited in where you can post things. One example is in the "Newbie" area - http://www.dsmtuners.com/forum/newbie-forum.4/ You see Maintenance Appearance and Welcome titles. Orange button to the lower right 'Post New Thread' .

Within in an area such as http://www.dsmtuners.com/forum/maintenance-repairs.10/ you see the read menu at the top. Just under it is the Home icon> Forums> General Tech> Newbie Forum >>>>> across on the right you can see the 'Post New Thread' button in orange.

Now, about those light bulbs or light housings... Which bulb is it using?
