2G Front main seal replacement

Found out I have a leaky main seal on my 97 gst. I purchased a new seal just wanting to know how bad this process is have general tools and everything but a little nervous on how well the pulley is going to come off. Any tips or tricks I should know about?

Get yourself a 90* and 180* curved pick. Just be careful not to scratch the bore or crank surface. I just did one this weekend actually. Theyre not that bad, if you're comfortable doing the timing belt it'll be a breeze.

Yea I have those and yes I've had to do a timing belt tensioner pulley once already previous owner had it on backwards luckily caught it before any damage. Thanks for the tips

You will need to remove the crank pulley and trigger plate. I had to use a screw to tap into the seal in order to pull the seal out. My old seal was rock hard and original

Ok not sure of the condition of mine I haven't had time to pull apart just yet but thanks for the advice
