FPt28 Rebulid it or replace it???

Ok so i have a fpt28 w/minor shaft play, good turbo but i can't keep the intercooler piping on it(previous owner cut the cold side). I called up forced performance and they said $650 at most plus s&h as long as I supply a new housing. IMO..Forced Performance may be a little pricey, but you cant deny the quality of there turbochargers. They are pricey , but its for a reason. These turbo's are proven. On the other hand there are other proven turbo's also like stated above..the EVO III 16G. is one of them. IMO its also a sick turbo that can be beat on and beat on at almost twice the factory boost while maintaining reliability. Its your money. Its up to you. Does the FP T28 outway a EVOIII? Maybe you should upgrade to something bigger and better. If my FP3065 ever goes boom, Im deff. stepping up the game. Good luck my friendMy rule is ...UPGRADE..NEVER REPLACE!!!!

If i'm gonna go bigger i wanna stay with forced perfomance. But what should i get without upgrading the internals?

i'm thinking about this:
Forced Performance Turbochargers: FP 68HTA Turbocharger for DSM

You can get 400 w.h.p. on the EVOIII 16g for $550. Or you can buy the 68HTA for $850 on sale. And it would be at like 430 w.h.p., so its up to you if the extra lag and money is worth it. For me, I'd barely notice +30 h.p. at this point and another $850 for +30 w.h.p. would make zero sense. For you stepping up from a T28, maybe would make some sense.

I hate to admit it, but the E3 16g is what I would buy. the 68 HTA is nice but it costs a bit to much. Get the evo 3 and buy yourself some eagle rods

going with the evo3 extreme psi has it for $768 with the install kit!

Sounds about right, mine installed was like ~$750 or so. I used a stock 1g oil feed line feeding off the cylinder head, filed the 2g oil return mounting holes a little wider, some new crush gaskets and oil return gasket, and a 2" j-pipe, and some bending of the water lines and some extra rubber coolant hose (i.e. fuel line hose) to get everything fitting right.
