Buy it or leave it?

Okay well, I'm looking for a nice DSM, hopefully get a GSX, and i think i might have found one.

I want you guys opinion on it. GOod bad, price fit with the mod list. Im kind of scared so see no 6bolt on that mod list with that milage, most likley will be finding a 6bolt in the future(year or so) to put in it if i get it.

Just looking on opinion. I think the car looks cleeeeeeeeean.

Ok, well I've been trying to hold out and not say anything, but I just can't anymore. If you can't guess, this is my car. The car WAS NOT driven hard as most are trying to claim. Even if I wanted to race it, there isn't a track or drag strip within 200 miles from where I drive the damn car.
I didn't just build the car to sell it, I worked on it because I loved working on it. I didn't plan on selling it, even after I bought the EVO. But I don't see me getting much use out of it anymore. The car was babied, and if any of you want to come take it for a drive, I'd love to prove you all wrong. And Ben, most of these parts are new. If I was trying to make up for the money I put in it, I would be asking a hell of a lot more then this. Like it says in the ad, I've driven lots of DSMs and this one isn't even really close to any other ones I've driven.
All these guys ripping apart a car they've never seen and know nothing about and calling everything I say a lie reminds me of why I always stuck to DSMtalk. Thanks for the positive comments bhop.

And gauging by the amount of people I have interested in the car I'm not too worried about "keeping it a while."

Well, then I hope you find someone else willing to buy it, because even with my lack of experience with DSMs, i still know cars in general pretty well, and i know a '95 with over 100k miles on it isn't worth near 10 grand, unless the thing is putting down some serious power, and has some extenisive mod's.

Also, if i could... i would LOVE to buy a stock GSX and mod it myself... but for what i want in a car, it's going to cost about 6 - 8 just for the car and another 8-10 for mods.

1) ??? So its not worth the money unless it has a lot of mods, which mine does, then it is. Yet I'm asking too much? Not sure I understand that.
Or are you talking REALLY modded, like the GSX in the USCC a couple years ago. Because that guy asked 20,000 for his 95 GSX, and you could be sure that thing had the crap kicked out of it.

Maybe you guys should bicker/negotiate in PM, email, or instant messages, but the people of this board have given their opinion, which you asked for. Our work is done now, it's up to you two (DSMBen and GSXtsy) to work something out with the purchase of the car.

I know this doesn't account for availability or mods, but everyone knows you never NEVER get what you put into the car when you sell it. Private party value is $4500 with the "Excellent" exterior and "Excellent" interior ratings. From there it just goes down. If he has so SO many offers, let one of those people buy it. I think you should let this one slide Ben.

First of all, Your car is gorgeous. I haven't done any research as to how much to pay for one, but I'd like to check it out, if my next point doesn't tick you off too much. Milwaukee is a half hour north of Great Lakes Dragaway, and about an hour south of Road America. Why haven't you been to either?

Since hes not worried about you buying it, and has so many offers, move on. You can get a much better price if you broaden your search areas. Local forums, and many other car search sites. Definately try to go out as far as surrounding states for it. I would not fork out all your money for a car that could brake down the next day. Seems like it is well maintained, but that don't mean sh!t, cause anything can happen. I couldn't find anything on autotrader when I wanted a gsx, but I found a pristine one for 4500 on a local forum, actually very similar to the one you are looking at in mods, condition and milage. Not saying you can get it that cheap, but it's just an example.

Well I know he is over pricing it, most people in this thread has stated it, and i think he even might know he is over pricing it...

I have been looking at that, havn't spoken to the guy yet but i might. I don't know but im pretty much done with this guys car. Not over paying for nothing!

I go to school in Milwaukee, I don't have the car here. I have only had it in milwaukee for one weekend. I have more then one car, so I don't like logging miles on it in the city just to go to school. I'm from Sturgeon Bay, which is 3 hours north of Milwaukee. And I agree with brute, this is really a pointless "he said, he said" thread. Anyone that is interested in the car can contact me, anyone that isn't, dosen't have to. I didn't say anything when people were just anwsering his questions. It was when he started posted my emails and people starting calling me a lier that I felt I should respond.

Oh wow, guy says he won't take ANYTHING below 9500.

Just look for a 2G Talon if you're looking for the 2G body style, they usually run for cheaper. I too was looking for an AWD 2G but came across all these overpriced gsx's even with over 100k miles. I guess the name GSX makes prices go up, just opt for a TSi AWD, you could always do the eclipse conversion anyways. I paid 4000 for a 97 tsi awd in great condition with 90k miles.
