Was wondering if anyone was running these cams & what they thought of them. I'm not sure if I want to go the fp1/fp2 combo or the 1x route. If I'm understanding correctly the 1x's have the same lift as the fp2's but because of the increased ramp rate they don't lose the bottom end like the origional 2's. So it sounds like they have the best of both worlds. If I go the x route I would use them with Manley springs and titanium retainers.

Yeah I was thinkin about this too because if the 1x's give you fp2 similar top end and have the same advantage the fp2x's have over the fp2's and hks272's and can be run on stock springs I would def be interested.

With the 1x's, FP says you still need upgraded valve springs, but you can use singles while they recommend dual springs for the 2x's. They do have the same lift as the origional 2's for the top end power but because of the increased ramp rate still will have good bottom/mid & run smoother & pull more vacuum then even the smaller FP1/FP2 combo, which is great for us that are trying to keep the car "sleeper" & emissions friendly. Not to say I don't love the sound of a lumpy cam, but with them its just asking to get hassled around here.

Dam that's not really worth it then. It''s like why not just get the fp2x's if you still have to get new springs. I would only hop on these if they were stock spring friendly. I know I"m a cheap ass but after 9k you get like that.

You can run these on stock springs as long as you keep it under 7.5k. I have 1x's with Crower springs and a buddy of mine is running them with the stock springs. FP told him it was fine as long as he kept it under the stock rev limit (7.5k).
