Found cut wires explain!

What is this and where do the wires go to reconnect it? The wires run directly to the round object next to my breather filter.

Should i attempt to re hook it up? The car previously ran fine with these cut but i am currently having a no start issue. But i know for a fact it ran with these cut for... approximately 8 months.

I cant say i honestly understand that... there isnt somewhere where the three wires should just be able to be hooked up at??

So how did the car run with these cut? it was said it shouldnt of even started. Could this have something to do with my current no start issue?

First of all, you're missing a wire. There should be 4 wires - you're either missing a yellow or white (can't tell the color of the current light wire).

If it was never hooked up, it would have started before because you still have the stock sensor installed behind the intake cam gear.

The wire is yellow. So if im missing the wire i should just not worry about it?

You can either not worry about it or take apart the cover over the current wires and see if it is just shorter than the rest. The pro of wiring the 1g CAS up is you can set base timing by hand.

He has a 2g with a 95 7bolt motor still, judging by the thermostat housing. Im assuming that the CAS is just there to plug the valve cover becuase there should be a circular seal there, assuming someone lost it and just stuck the CAS there to plug it. As far as the no start. Check for fuel, and spark first and report back.

So doing a lil more reading about this, if my CPS is the reason for my no start issue would wiring up the 1g CAS fix the problem?

again, someone probably put it there to block off a huge hole that would of been there if the 1g CAS wasn't there because they lost this part.

The CAS is hooked up to nothing as the picture cleaerly shows. It has been like that sence i bought the car. If my CPS is bad could i use the 1g CAS in place of the CPS

As stated earlier in this thread the car ran without this hooked up sence i bought it. I have put over 3k miles on it with the CAS cut. The 2g use the CPS to do the CAS job if i read it right. I am wondering if i can use the 1g CAS instead of my 2g CPS if that happens to be the reason for my non firing cylinders.

I believe this wouldnt even be in my car stock. A 2g runs off the CPS crank position sensor thats behind the intake cam gear. Im wondering if the 1g CAS can be hooked up to replace the CPS? If so im wondering how?
