I'm just curious, how did you setup your stutter box. I can't seem to figure out a way to make it work unless I ground it with a monertary switch. But then I would have to press and hold the switch. How have you hooked it up to work so you could, lets say, have the engine stall at 5500 and have the clutch up half way in prep for slipping? Let me know, I'm at a lost in need of advice.

If your willing to loose your cruise control I found out through trial and error is there is what is called the started interrupt switch(sorry if I didnt spell it right).....its the switch that is pushed in when the clutch pedel is pushed in.....(its a big white switch ya cant miss it)......it has a blue and a black wire coming out of it I think and it plugs into a plug that has a green and black wire on its side......I found out about it one time when I had a starter problem I thought it was but turned out to be a bad relay in the starter interrupt aka.if its left in gear it wont start unless the clutch pedel is pushed in safty thing.....when I unplugged the harness the car started right up!!....so it isnt really needed and now I dont have to push in the clutch putting pressure on the thrust bearing risking crank walk:thumb: ....so here I am stuck with this cool switch for my stutterbox when my MSD comes in.........when I tested it with a test light I found out it was the opposite of what I needed......it DISCONNECTED the ground for the MSD which I needed when the pedal was pushed in sitting where it was installed from the factory......so I tryed the cruise control switch located at the top of the pedal when it was out to no vail.....it was on stutter no matter what(machv.com said it wouldnt prob work on their site)....so I screwed in that big white starter interrupt switch at the TOP travel of the pedal where that little black cruise control switch used to be....I used the(remember that green and black harness I mentioned?)black off of the black and green plug to hook of the MSD ground through and walla instant stutterbox that didnt stop until the pedal was all the way off the floor:D if ya have dont have the instructions for the 5000 rpm stutter let me know ill give ya the dip switch settings....oh mine was set at 4500 rpm from summit racing and they were all set correctly from summit racing if ya bought it from them for a DSM..........good luck brother and easy on that slipping the clutch so much thing ya mentioned......just dont want ya overheatin the disk or breakin too many trannys maybe:p

but due to the limited amount room under these dam dashes you can also try this way. (http://www.dsm-performance.com/hard_stutter.php). It involves you buying a relay and reconnecting your clutch saftey switch, but you will not need to push the cluthc in to start the car since you bypassed that by leaving pin 3 open (no contact just like when you diconnected the connector under the dash) mine is done this way. I also used a slightly more expensive relay (mini bosch). about my only complaint is that everytime I press in the clutch I hear a small click from the relay toggling over to the other set of contact. Other than that it works great. After you get everything conneccted, if you have stutter with the clutch out and rev limiter when the cluthc is in, just swap the wire going to 87 to 87A, or visa versa (a few friends had this problem that I had to fix). This method DOES NOT require you to crawl under the dash (unless you disconnected your saftey switch) and does not require you to cut up your car AT ALL. so you can resort back to the stock config if you wish.
