Ok, so I just finished installing 2 12" Infinity subs in my hatch and I realized it is vibrating bad. If all the windows are up, the hatch is closed, and the sunroof is closed, I can hear a fluttering sound coming from the back passenger side of the car. I read a while ago about some rubber thing that opens up everytime you shut the doors so the air inside doesnt shatter the windows. Is that what I'm hearing flutter? Also, I think I might have to invest in some dynomat if that woud fix the problem, thanks a lot.:thumb:

i had something similar happen to me, the brake light on the rear window was making all that clatter, i gave it a good tight down, and used some 3m tape. problem solved.
try it..

I would also look at the vents on either side, they have rubber flaps that do make that sound...I had a 95 gs (got rid of it,kicked my own ass since than til now) and the sound was flawless on the outside and in,except for those damn rubber flaps.check it out.

thats normal man, it's what you have to accept when getting a system, esp more than 1 sub. just learn to live with it, or if you can't get that dynomat insulation and go to it. i personally don't think its worth it unless you are really anal. you're windows are not going to shatter.

The flaps are fluttering because of the pressure difference inside and outside the vehicle. Dynamat will help, but will not eliminate. Put it on panels that vibrate excessively when the subs are playing. As far as the fluttering from the flaps, it's something you are going to have to accept. If you take them out, it will make a possible hole for bugs, small animals, and moisture to get into your car.
