Has anyone ever done this? I have 2 10" MTX Thunder6000s and I was wondering if it'd be worth my time and money to mount this in the floor of trunk and if it'd sound as good as they do just in a box. I would most likely take out the spare and dynamat or insulate all that metal.

If you intend to do this, please do it the right way and fiberglass the enclosure. If you want the enclosure to be the best sounding, you need to figure out the air space you will be working with and design the enclosure for the music you are listening to. :thumb: PM me if you have questions about this, I have been do custom car audio for 11+ years. ;)

I made a fiberglass box and mounted two 12in thunder 6000s. It sounds pretty good, but not as good as the box i once had.
